About Artist

成長於台灣，國立藝專畢業後的鄭麗雲為了追求更開闊的創作觀，赴美求取藝術碩士，並長期定居，她的作品引起美國藝術界的重視，波洛克 - 克拉斯納基金會不僅兩度給予創作獎助，還頒給她榮譽獎章。美國政府亦將鄭麗雲選為文化大使，作品長期在美國駐外使館展出，以表彰這位華人女性在美國藝術文化方面的成就，這樣的殊榮不論是以女性藝術家的角度，抑或是放眼華人藝術圈，都是相當難能可貴的。

Born and raised in Taiwan, after graduating from the National Art College, Cheng Li-yun sought to broaden her artistic perspective. She pursued a Master's degree in the United States and decided to settle there permanently. Her works garnered attention in the American art scene, with the Pollock-Krasner Foundation awarding her creative grants twice and presenting her with an honorary medal. Recognizing her contributions, the U.S. government appointed Cheng Li-yun as a cultural ambassador. Her works have been showcased in exhibitions at U.S. embassies abroad, acknowledging the achievements of this Chinese female artist in American art and culture. Such honors are noteworthy from both the perspective of a female artist and within the broader context of the Chinese art community.
