東西交匯、共存共榮的學習背景，使張翠容發展出超越文化藩籬，悠游於東/西之間的獨特繪畫技法：不但用毛筆來畫西畫，也精研水性油性等各種顏料的製法用法、自製畫布與內框、手工打底與製造肌理，並研究複合媒材如金箔、紙材、現成物等如何於搭配混用，再將媒材的實驗化為時而細膩時而大膽的自創技法。

Cultivated in a learning environment where East and West converge, coexist, and prosper, Zhang Cuirong has developed a unique painting technique that transcends cultural boundaries, allowing her to navigate freely between the East and the West. Not only does she use traditional brushes for Western painting, but she also delves into the formulation and application of various pigments such as water-based and oil-based paints. Additionally, she crafts her own canvases and frames, practices handmade priming, and explores the creation of textures.

Her artistic exploration extends to experimenting with diverse media, including gold leaf, paper materials, and found objects, and understanding how to combine and mix them harmoniously. Zhang then transforms these material experiments into innovative techniques that oscillate between delicacy and boldness.
